About The Project

The Cancer Answers is an international youth-led initiative dedicated to making cancer knowledge more accessible, understandable, and actionable for communities worldwide. Through research-based education, digital resources, and outreach, we work to advance cancer awareness, prevention, and health literacy.

Our AI chatbot and educational tools translate complex medical research into clear and reliable resources with the goal of helping individuals and families better understand cancer risks, prevention strategies, and treatment options.

Founded by students passionate about medicine, science, and advocacy, The Cancer Answers empowers communities with the knowledge needed to make informed health decisions.

A Note From The Founders

The Cancer Answers was blossomed out of an interest in public health and how technology can make complex information easier to understand. We created this website to give teenagers a place to ask honest questions about cancer risk and get answers based on real, trusted sources. Topics like vaping, tanning, and long-term health risks are often discussed online, but not always with clear or reliable information.

This project uses AI trained on sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Cancer Institute, and American Cancer Society to provide accurate, easy-to-understand responses.

We are especially interested in how AI can be designed responsibly—so that it informs rather than misleads—and how it can be used to positively impact and improve health education for young people.
